Privacy Policy

Last updated: February 22, 2026

GymTrack ("the App") is developed by an independent developer. Your privacy is important to us. This policy explains what data the App collects and how it is used.

Data Storage

All workout data, exercise logs, personal records, and preferences are stored locally on your device using Apple's SwiftData framework. Your data never leaves your device unless you explicitly choose to export it.

Data We Do Not Collect

No Account Required

GymTrack does not require you to create an account or sign in. There is no server-side storage of your data.

Local Preferences

The App uses Apple's UserDefaults to store your preferences (such as weight unit, rest timer duration, and workout goals). This data is stored locally on your device and is not transmitted anywhere.

Optional Network Requests

The App may make optional requests to wger.de, an open-source fitness API, solely to fetch muscle group illustration images. These requests do not include any personal or workout data. No cookies or identifiers are sent. You can use the App fully without an internet connection.

Apple Frameworks

The App uses Apple's built-in frameworks including MetricKit (for anonymous crash diagnostics delivered by Apple), WidgetKit (for home screen widgets), and ActivityKit (for Live Activities). These operate under Apple's own privacy policies.

Data Export

You may choose to export your workout data as CSV or JSON files using the App's export feature. Exported files are handled through the iOS share sheet and are entirely under your control.

Children's Privacy

The App does not knowingly collect any data from children under 13. Since no personal data is collected from any user, the App is safe for all ages.

Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. Any changes will be reflected on this page with an updated date.
